My Wish List #1

I haven't been shopping much since having moved into my new condo (hey, all my monies went there!), so there are several things that over time have been added to my mental "wish list". Plus, I have finished up SO many products - I have enough empties to film 3 different empties videos! Here are the things that I have been eyeing (and don't be surprised if you see these in a haul video soon!):

Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover: I am completely out of eye makeup remover (can you believe that?!) so I have been using exclusively Bioderma, and as great as Bioderma is, it doesn't replace a good oil-based eye makeup remover. I have heard amazing things about this one, and since I haven't found one that I love enough to repurchase right now I thought I'd try something new. This will be the next one I buy.

Bath and Body Works Candles and Hand Soaps: So I read somewhere recently that Bath and Body Works hand soaps have bad chemicals in them, so in an effort to be a little kinder to my body I went to Target and loaded up with both Method and J.R. Watkins hand soaps. I put one in each bathroom, and one by the kitchen sink, and while they have both been nice, I won't be repurchasing them. They don't make my hands feel quite as clean as the Bath and Body Works Foaming hand soaps, and the Method bottles started to look quite gross towards the end. Since a nice hand soap is something that I think is key in a guest bathroom especially (presentation, you know), and since I am quite a clean freak with my hands, I'm going back to the BBW hand soaps. As for the candles - that's self explanatory. I'm obsessed! Click here to watch last year's "fall" candle haul (they have a lot of the same scents again so it can help you pick some out if you are looking!).

Chanel Fall 2013 Collection: *Swoon* I don't plan on buying a whole lot of new makeup right now (I have more than enough to last me the next 50 years), but Chanel is the exception. I love it. I love everything about the brand, and I love this collection. I'm especially eyeing the new cream blushes.

Essie "For the Twill of It": A nail polish I've been coveting. It's described as an olive/brown with reflective green shimmer, and reminds me of Club from MAC.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm: I have used up the last bit of my Eve Lom cleansing balm, and all of the samples I had of other cleansing balms, so I am in the market for a new one. This one in particular seems to have a bit of a cult status among the skincare bloggers, so it is definitely at the top of my wish list.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: Another highly coveted item in the skincare world, this one has my name on it. Plus, Macy's has a free gift with purchase right now plus 6% cash back through Ebates: Link! Those are deals I can't ignore!

Some dancing workout DVDs: Do you guys have any suggestions for these? I'm thinking maybe Julianne Hough's version, but I'd love to know if you have one you swear by that's fun but kicks your booty!

That completes my current wish list. I would love to know what's on yours! Let's live vicariously through each other by telling everyone what is on our current wish list! Leave me a comment below with the items you've been eyeing or saving up for.

P.S. I hope you guys have been loving #FallThatGlitters! I sure have been!

  2. Oooo - you must try Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair! And if you're looking for an alternative to the Emma Hardie that's easier to find, the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm is amazing. I've also heard (from Caroline Hirons, mostly...) that the REN balm is really good for dry skin, as well.

  3. One of the best makeup removers I've ever used is Albolene. You can get it at any drugstore (I get it at Walgreens) and it's AMAZING at removing makeup. It's definitely oil based, and it leaves you skin feeling so great (well MY skin :p). So cheap and awesome. Definitely recommend trying that.

  8. I really want to get the Stila In the Light palette! It's not super expensive but since I'm only 14, it's kinda a lot. I was wondering if you have tried it and have liked it and think it's worth the money. I saw it in your 3-in-1 haul that you did with your sister and cousins and since then I've been eyeing it up! Btw, I have blonde hair and blue eyes:) Thanks!

  9. Wish List for this fall/winter. Marc Jacobs Honey eau de parfum, YSL baby doll mascara and Estee Lauder double wear foundation (which I see you are a fan of as well). I have not purchased any of these in the past so I hope they live up to my expectations, because we all have a drawer full of products we were excited to buy that disappointed, no matter what price point they are at. Loving your new blog/video series, excited to follow it this fall!

  12. Some of my favorite products right now are by the brand Not Your Mother's. I have curly hair so I am obsessed with the Kinky Moves curl defining hair cream but I've heard great things about the dry shampoo and sea salt spray! Have you tried their brand?
I also love my Olay cleanser and Garnier moisture rescue gel.
So I'm not necessarily eyeing these products but I thought I'd share in case others want to try them! I am saving up for some new moccasins though... ;) and a Canon Rebel t3i or xs!

  14. Hello Elle and fellow blog readers!

I love reading wish list posts like this and seeing what's on everyone's wish lists in the comments.

I didn't realise you had a video up of a BBW haul. That's ace! I live in the UK and rely on eBay my BBW stash so it's great to watch a review of each scent to help me pick the right one before i purchase it online. Thanks flr being my virtual nose!

  15. I love love love bellydance oriented dance exercise DVDs... there are tons of great ones out there. I like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Luscious-Workout-Beginners-Beginner-instruction/dp/B0015FJYV0/ref=pd_cp_mov_1

Sarah Skinner has another one just for shimmies and that kicks my butt. I get my heart rate up, get toned, and learn to isolate muscle groups-- plus it's super fun.

For the handsoaps-- I love Method for cleaning supplies but for hand soap? Not so much. I'm trying to cut down on my own BBW hand soap addiction, too. Don't give up though if you want a gentler soap, Etsy sellers sell organic soaps with great scents and if you don't like the bottle, there's always the refillable ones that come with the bath sets.

  17. Hey there,
first off, I really don't want to bother anyone, so Elle, if you decide to delete my comment because you think it might bother you or your subscribers, I'll understand.

BUT...this is not any kind of spam, tricking people into something, nor am I trying to promote my own channel/ blog.

Yet, I am trying to ask you a favour. I am currently writing my bachelor's thesis, and I am lucky enough to do so about a topic I am really interested in : Social Media Activities and how they are used by the Beauty & Sporting Goods Industries.

As it is part of my thesis, every genuine participation means the world to me. I promise, it won't take you longer than 8 minutes and every participant has the chance to win one of two prizes. The lucky winner can choose between a make up bag filled with various beauty goodies or a pair of brand new Nike trainers. Simply click the link below and answer all questions.

Again, this means so, so much to me. Thank you for everyone helping me out

  30. Nice Wish List c:

Essies' For The Twill Of It is gorg! I was just looking at their fall collection last night :D

Sally Hansen also has a good "dupe" called Black Tie from their Diamond Strength line. It looks like a pool of oil, in a really pretty way!

Have you heard of Pur Minerals? They have an amazing remover called "Melt Away Makeup Emulsifier" (it used to be called Mineral Melt). It's loaded with good oils like avocado & jasmine and literally melts all the makeup away while kind of nourishing at the same time.

Looking forward to your BBW haul ;3

And I agree with you, I have tried other hand soaps but none feel like Bath & Body Works or have a lasting smell like theirs. Now I need to head over to your personal vlog to hear about your books, I'm in the hunt for some new ones!

  38. Love the wish list! I'm completely obsessed to Essie nail polish! I really want to get more Dior makeup products, so that's what I'll be saving for. I go to a Ballet Barre class that REALLY kicks your butt and is one of those workouts where you see results fairly quick. I know they have DVDs of the workout, though. In the class I'm in, we blast high energy music so we don't focus on how hard it can get. Ha!

  45. The active ingredient in B&BW works soaps (last I checked) is Triclosan. When you wash Triclosan down the drain it ends up in the environment and will harm the reproductive abilities of animals. It aslo has been proven to be barely as affective as normal soap in water at cleaning your hands. So basically B&BW soaps don't get your hands clean and they harm animals. I strongly encourage you to use a different brand, Elle, even though they do smell really really really nice! I love your videos and your blogs btw! <3 <3 <3
