Tea Party is CLOSED!

Starting right now (9pm PST), and running for the next hour, I will be answering questions and giving advice to any comments left below (on this post). Try to limit your comment to one question.

Make sure to skim through the last couple tea parties questions before deciding what to ask... one question per person please! Last time I got a lot of repeat questions so if you read through those you can get lots of answers and then ask me one that you haven't seen me answer yet, so in a way you get more than one answered!

Just like last time it will be first come, first served. I will try to answer them as best I can!

Make sure you click that little "Join this site" button on my sidebar, as shown here, in order to be able to comment! :) Talk to you soon!

    1. Yes! I got it custom made with white wood, but to be honest it's still not "put together". The clothing is still all unorganized and jumbled. There are so many parts of my condo I still need to get around to organizing, and I feel so scattered right now! I can't wait to have it all pretty - and congrats on your first house!

    1. I am currently reading "Inferno" by Dan Brown (almost done with it) and just finished "I've got your number" by Sophie Kinsella. Both have been really good but I miss my dystopian novels! I wish a good one would come out.

  3. Who's your favorite person on Big Brother? Who do you think will win? Did you see that Amanda and McCrae had a full-on BB Wedding with Andy as the minister? LOL!

    1. I think GM or Aaryn will win. Helen and Amanda are too "power hungry", Mccrae is just doing his thang, Spencer and Elyssa aren't doing much, and Andy seems to be going under the radar too much - I think he will be caught out. But who knows! What do you think?

      Delete
    2. I don't think GM has strong enough ties with the other players for them to keep her around until the end. I love 3 AM! I think they'll probably make to the final four, and Aaryn is so good at competitions that I think she has a good chance if she can win that final HOH. This season is so different though with the unanimous votes and who knows who'll come back from the jury! I'm SO glad it's on three times a week. Favorite summer show by far!

      Delete
    3. Yeah the unanimous votes are kinda getting on my nerves, LOL! You're right about GM... I hated Aaryn for awhile but she's growing on me actually (weird!!) so I wouldn't mind if she or Andy won. I don't care for Amanda

    2. So funny you mentioned that...I was just looking into removable wallpaper (sometimes called renters wallpaper). It's a bit of an investment but I think its such a cool product. Thanks so much for the response!

    3. You could also invest in a great piece of art. I bought my Paris painting in college since I couldn't paint or anything and to this day its one of my favorite pieces in my whole condo. If you find something you love it's worth a bit of money to get it

  6. I was wondering what you would recommend to help a high school student that has insomnia.

    1. Oh goodness, I don't know what to tell you there. I struggle with insomnia regularly. Maybe try melatonin (if your parents and/or doctor approves). It's natural and I used to take it nightly but it stopped working for me over the years. The cherry flavored one from GNC was my favorite!

  7. Hi Elle! How are you? Do you have any tips for finding a drugstore makeup product that is still good quality? I am looking for a cheaper drugstore primer and concealer but I don't want to spend money on something that is bad quality! Thanks! I'm looking forward to reading Where Beauty Lies! :)

    1. I would do research online first. Look up reviews and swatches of some, and use makeupalley.com! I love them for product reviews - they have almost everything! I like the Rimmel match perfection concealer for a drugstore concealer but not sure about primer cause I don't use any.

And be suppperrr nice to your roommate, especially at the beginning, even if she's a terror. It will only help you in the long run, LOL!

  20. Hi Elle!
I'm someone who has never really worn a lot of makeup but this summer it has really been something that's beginning to interest me more. All summer I've been wearing tinted moisturiser since its pretty humid and hot where I live. I was wondering what is a lower priced foundation/bb cream/tinted moisturiser that you would suggest for me to try next? My only concern is I do have sensitive skin so that makes me a little hesitant about trying new products but I have really enjoyed your recommendations I've tested recently.
Also, thanks for the later tea time! I work two jobs and was excited to see this going on at a time when I could participate! :)

    1. I really enjoyed the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind foundation - it didn't break me out, is drugstore (so inexpensive), and was light coverage. It's great for a quick application too! The sponge freaked me out at first, but it's actually not that bad once you start using it! (But you have to blend it out with a brush/sponge/your fingers once it's on your face). Let me know if you try it and what you think!

And I'm so glad this Tea timing hit some people who couldn't make it to my other ones! :)
