My Kiehl’s Friends and Family Haul

I have officially placed my order for the Kiehl’s friends and family sale! I mentioned this sale 2 days ago in a blog post, and I asked for you to leave me suggestions on here and on twitter.

First on my list was the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. I knew this was going to be purchased, since I tested it in a store recently and fell in love with it. I ended up purchasing another eye cream, the Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream, based on the suggestion of the sales clerk, and immediately regretted not getting the avocado one. I have been using the wrinkle reducing eye cream for about 2 weeks now, and I like it, but there is something about the avocado one that draws me to it. It just felt amazing on my hand!  *Puts it in shopping cart*

I also wanted to try a few new things based on your suggestions, so after combing through my tweets and the comments here I selected the Midnight Recovery Concentrate and the Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub.

The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a serum, which worn overnight is meant to totally rejuvenate and plump your skin. It is 99.8% naturally-derived, paraben-free, and Kiehl’s number 1 best seller. It helps regenerate, repair, and replenish your skin using evening primrose oil, lavender essential oil, and squalane, a Kiehl’s signature ingredient that helps restore the skin’s natural moisture balance. I am going to apply this under my evening moisturizer for nights where my skin is looking a bit dull. Just look at all those delicious skin-repairing oils in the ingredient list!

Ingredients:
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Squalane, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Oenothera Biennis Oil / Evening Primrose Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Oil / Jojoba Seed Oil, Coriandrum Sativum Oil / Coriander Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil / Lavender Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Linalool, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil / Rosemary Leaf Oil, Citronellol, Geraniol, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Cucumis Sativus Extract / Cucumber Fruit Extract, Curcuma Longa Extract / Turmeric Root Extract, Limonene, Citral, Sclareolide, Rosa Spp / Rose Flower Oil, Jasminum Officinale Extract / Jasmine Extract, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil / Sunflower Seed Oil.

The Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub is supposed to result in polished, radiant skin. It uses small pieces of actual pineapple and papaya to exfoliate your skin gently and naturally. Plus, this is an enzyme exfoliator, which is my favorite kind! It exfoliates your skin naturally and without the use of heavy “scrubby bits” to reduce broken capillaries and skin sensitivity. Plus it has natural vitamin oils to further enhance the effects of this treatment. It is meant to be both exfoliating and nourishing, which is perfect for my skin.

I absolutely cannot wait to get my order in and start testing out these products. If you would like to place a last minute order, it ends tonight! It is coupon code “FAMILY” for 20% off your entire order (plus I got free shipping!). Tell me what you picked up in the comments below!

  2. I am so drawn to the Pineapple Papaya scrub! But I'm not sure if it's because of the scrub itself or how delicious that fruit sounds right about now... Great picks!

  5. I'm a huuuuuge Kiehl's fan!!! I have the eye cream and the overnight concentrate and I can recommend both of them. Especially for dry skin the concentrate is amazing. I never feel dry the next morning when using it.
The most important thing is that you only use 2-3 drops if you use it on your entire face and then you PAT it in- don't rub.

  9. I have used the products you ordered and they are really great!!
Being a big Kiehl's user, I actually want to recommend other great products to you as well.

For Kiehl's, DEFIANTLY go try out the OLIVE FRUIT OIL DEEPLY REPAIRATIVE HAIR PAK !!!
It is a hair mask or a deep conditioner that I have been using and loving it for over 4 years!!
It is for dry and damaged hair. I even use it as a daily conditioner when I feel like my hair need moisture after colouring.
Also, I have been loving their AMINO ACID SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER for 2 years, they smell so great and makes me happy!! I picked up the macadamia shampoo the other day just to try it, but gave it away after few try, because it is no where as good as my Kiehl's amino acid shampoo.

Oh, and I have used the avocado eye cream before, it is pretty good, but I think I love the La Mer EYE BALM INTENSE much much more. Expecially if you apply it using their little silver headed applier!!

Looking forward to your new posts!! :D
(lol i just hope that you can see this, so I posted it again. Because I really do think that you will love them!!)

  10. Elle, you telling us about this F&F sale was not good for my wallet! But seriously, thanks for the tip!

I ended up ordering 3 shampoo/conditioner sets (Superbly Smoothing Argan, Olive Fruit Oil, and Amino Acid) because I'm a hoarder apparently and always on the hunt for the best ones to make my heat-styled hair feel amazing...and to top that off I got the Olive Fruit Oil Hair Pak (like a mask)...very excited to try that!

Also got a couple skincare items from the Rare Earth line and excited to try those as well.

  14. hi elle :) i've been thinking of buying something from Kheil's for my eyes. I have bad insomnia so i have dark circles around my eyes and they are awfully puffy. But I don't know which one should I get. I'm choosing between the midnight recover concentrate, avocado treatment, and wrinkle reducing cream. i went to their boutique to ask for testers so i can choose, but they have nothing to give us atm. Which one do you think is best for puffy eyes?
