A peek into my Beauty Cabinet

As a self-proclaimed beauty addict, I have a LOT of products. Way more than I would care to admit, actually. So… erm… cheers to… admitting it? LOL!

I was doing a little bathroom cleanout and thought I would share my favorite little corner with you – my beauty cabinet. I had one in my old apartment as well, which you can see in this video, but it didn’t hold nearly the amount that my current one does! The only annoying part is that I still haven’t figured out how to adjust the shelves, even though I know that it’s possible… so for now I have just worked with it exactly how it came when I moved in. There’s a ton of stuff in there, so let’s get started!

The bottom shelf has the items that I reach for the most often. Normally as I get ready I just keep this cabinet open, and pull items out as I need them. The bottom row has makeup wipes, q-tips, cotton pads, muslin cloths, washcloths, samples that I’m currently trying, and a container holding my most used skincare products. Let’s see what’s in that container:

I have 3 eye creams (I know, who needs that many?):
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado: By far my favorite of the bunch. This is my current favorite and I can’t wait to do a full review on this product. It’s so nice, and more moisturizing than any eye cream I’ve tried. I am in love with this little guy.
Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream: I have been laying a bit of this under the creamy eye with avocado and I really like the combination. I don’t think that it is moisturizing enough on it’s own (but then again, I have super dry skin), but is fantastic under another eye product (I’m looking at you, creamy avocado cream).
Kiehl's Rosa Arctica Eye Cream: This one is more of a balm than a cream, and it’s a bit odd to be honest. I think I like it. I think?

I have my toner for “dull skin days”, Caudalie Beauty Elixir, and my spot treatment, Lush Grease Lightning. I have my Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair Cream, my Kate Somerville Serum Sunscreen SPF 55, my beloved Pevonia Myoxy-Caviar Timeless Repair Cream, and my Eve Lom Cleanser. My deodorant and my favorite CVS eye makeup remover completes the bunch.

The next shelf up is a mixture of skincare goodies. I have a little of everything, from serums to toners to treatments. Here they are, from left to right:

The shelf above that has more skincare and body products. From left to right:

The next shelf up has a bunch of yummy hair products. Here they are, from left to right:

The very top shelf just has a few makeup bags that I use when I travel. It's a bit too high to reach easily, so it's the perfect place to store things that I don't need as often!

As you can see, I have quite a few products hidden away behind a pretty cabinet. You never know what you will find when you walk into a beauty addicts house ;)

  6. Nice! I'm trying to rearrange my most used product inmy bath room, but can't decide how! I have large bathroom but no cabinet in it! I'm addicted in organization an I always try to make my house better!!
Nayway, now I keep all my daily products in a small drawer cabinet in the bathroom, and the rest of products in the wardrobe room.

  7. This definitely satisfied a beauty junkies desire for products. I am currently not allowed to buy anything because I have so much and am working on using them up (especially those items purchased that I may not necessarily like so much) because I am limited on space in my current home

  8. Elle you have me laughing out loud whilst reading your posts! You have such a quirky funny bone in you and it really shows in your writing! I'm glad you love blogging so much because I love reading your posts. I just got caught up on all of them (and your second blog) and I'm itching for more! It is so different from youtube that I might start looking into other blogs as well. Thank you for being so inspiring! xx

    2. I bought the clarisonic mia 2 because of Elle's raving reviews on it. And honestly it is 100% worth the money. I've had it for 4 months and my skin is SO much clearer. Even after I wash my face, the mia 2 still gets so much dirt and makeup off that would have previously clogged my pores. The only negative is that it can be drying (but I have super dry skin anyways) so make sure you use moisturizer afterwards

  40. Hey Elle!
Another AWESOME post. I'm in love with your blog! lol

I just wanted to make a recommendation (I hope I don't come off too negative) but the pink font you use when hyperlinking a product name is very light. I sometimes need to highlight a word so the contract illuminates the name of the product! I've been moving my laptop screen back and forth in case it's something on my computer; but I'm on my PC now and it's the same. I guess there isn't enough contract b/w the font and the background.

I also wanted to say something that's more appropriate for your accompanying youtube video, but I know you're more likely to read it here:
What the hell is the matter with people??! lol. Ever since blair did the video about the puffs, I went out and bought a box and was amazed at how strong they were. She even did a bloody iPad giveaway with the money, so i don't understand why the big deal is?!?! A lot of people are just jumping on a 'Let's hate on the pretty rich girls who get free stuff' bandwagon, which is cyber bullying and is frankly deplorable. The pixiwoo sister (whom i LOVE) make it very clear that they almost never pay for makeup and people don't seem to mind. It's disheartening that the same deference isn't afforded to you and your sister. Just wanted to offer my (unnecessarily rant-like) opinion.

Keep up the amazing work! you're very passionate about this stuff and I'm really proud of you!

Would you suggest I give it a try on my dry skin? and BTW.... Im going to order me a makeup bag with my name on it RIGHT NOW!
